Revised Schedule for UP Board Examination Centre Finalization
Prayagraj: The UP Board has extended the timeline for finalizing examination centres for the 2027 High School and Intermediate examinations. This decision allows districts more time to complete the online process. UP Board secretary Bhagwati Singh confirmed that the revised schedule follows the government’s directive to modify the initial timeline.
Singh clarified that the changes do not alter the provisions outlined in earlier government orders from July 1 and August 18, which mandate the online determination of examination centres. The process will continue to be managed through the board’s online portal, with district authorities instructed to adhere strictly to the new timeline.
The board will now upload the list of schools selected online as examination centres, along with student allocation, on Oct 22 instead of Sept 21. The list of schools facing debarment or withdrawal of recognition proceedings, as well as ineligible schools, will be displayed on the board website on Oct 28, against the earlier date of Sept 28.
The last date for submitting objections has been shifted from Oct 8 to Nov 6. The deadline for this process has been extended to Nov 16. The board will upload the list of examination centres, including student allocation, approved by the district-level committee on Nov 21. After examining and disposing of these objections, the district-level committees will finalise the examination-centre list and upload it on the board website on Nov 27.
The revised schedule also extends the period for objections from students, parents, principals and managers. Districts will publish notices in newspapers and invite objections through the UP Board portal. The district inspector of schools (DIOS) will subsequently examine and dispose of the objections and forward recommendations approved by the district-level centre determination committee to the board online. A further window will be provided for institutions, students, parents and principals to raise objections if students are allotted centres beyond the prescribed distance or centres are assigned more students than their permitted capacity.
