Bengaluru: Volunteers continued to show up to neighbourhood parks over the weekend as #IamBengaluru – Volunteer for Parks, presented by Multigen, in association with Kristu Jayanti University and supported by Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA), hosted another series of citizen-led activities across the city. At JP Nagar Mini Forest, Youth for Seva conducted three simultaneous activities across the Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev Park sections, including clean-up and plogging drives, park vicinity cleaning with waste segregation, and a jog-and-plogging activity. Hasiru Dala organised a cleaning drive and source textile waste segregation session at Anjanapura Lake Park, while the Indian Ploggers Army led a plogging and reduce-reuse-recycle (RRR) awareness session at Chunchagatta Lake Park. At 10th Block Central Park, volunteers joined Adamya Chetana for deweeding and sapling maintenance, helping improve the health of newly planted greenery. The activities brought together citizens of all ages, reinforcing the campaign’s objective of building a culture of community ownership around Bengaluru’s parks through regular, hands-on volunteering.
