He was responding to a post on X that said: “Interesting: statue of Manmohan Singh unveiled on his birth anniversary in Hyderabad. Nice that someone saw it fit to remember the former PM. But I think the self-effacing doctor saab would much rather prefer if there was a university, college, scholarships in economics or public policy in his name that nurtured young academics.”

I welcome you to visit the site on your next visit to the state.” Responding to a suggestion on X that a university would have been more befitting than the statue unveiled in Hyderabad on Saturday, Revanth said, “Manmohan Singh Earth Sciences University, first of its kind varsity of our nation, in Kothagudem, Telangana offers specialised undergraduate and postgraduate programmes focusing on earth sciences, mining, and environmental fields.
