WhatsApp may soon bring redesigned navigation bar for Android users: Report
As per the report, the redesigned navigation bar was spotted in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.26.38.10 update, which is available through the Google Play Store. It is currently under development and has not enabled it for beta testers either.
WhatsApp is testing a new bottom navigation bar separate from the main interface with rounded corners and a floating layout, according to a latest leak by WaBetaInfo. Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is reportedly working on a refreshed design for its Android app. “The floating bar and rounded edges are the main similarities with the iOS version. However, this does not mean that WhatsApp will also add the same translucent effect to the bottom navigation bar on Android,” the report adds.
The campaign spreads through compromised WhatsApp accounts and is evolving rapidly, with attackers adopting new file formats and evasion methods to bypass security controls and establish persistent access to victims’ devices, according to the cybersecurity firm. In another news, Quick Heal Technologies Limited recently issued a warning on an ongoing WhatsApp-based malware campaign targeting finance teams, senior executives, chartered accountants and individual business users.
