Minecraft Dungeons II: Release date and platforms

Minecraft Dungeons II is set to launch tomorrow (September 29). The sequel follows the original Minecraft Dungeons, which launched in 2020 and attracted more than 25 million players before development ended. Here is everything players need to know about Minecraft Dungeons II before its September 29 release. Minecraft Dungeons II will launch on September 29, 2026, for PC through Steam and the Microsoft Store, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The Standard Edition costs $29.99, while the Deluxe Edition costs $49.99.

Mojang is bringing its dungeon-crawling spin-off back with a new world, expanded gear systems and changes to exploration and multiplayer. This time, the game moves away from its predecessor’s mission-based structure and introduces a connected world players can explore on foot. It also adds jumping, new character customisation options, a new dimension called The Sift and more flexible multiplayer features. Mojang Studios and Double Eleven are developing the game, and it will be available on PC, current-generation consoles, and Nintendo’s latest systems. The game will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. Xbox Play Anywhere support will also let players access compatible purchases across Xbox and PC. The Deluxe Edition includes cosmetic items and the first two post-launch DLC packs.

The connected world changes as players progress, with characters needing help, areas developing, and shortcuts becoming available.
