The official website for Forza Horizon 6 has confirmed that the PlayStation 5 version is still scheduled for release in 2026. “If you’re planning your trip to Discover Japan on PlayStation 5, stay tuned,” the statement reads. Additionally, the game is set to launch on PS5 later this year, with players encouraged to add it to their Wishlist on the PlayStation Store for updates on availability.
This announcement comes as Playground Games prepares for a significant update to the game, planned for Thursday, September 10. Originally, Forza Horizon 6 was announced for Xbox Series X/S and PC, with a PS5 version expected to follow after the initial launch. However, changes in Microsoft’s leadership and gaming strategy have led to some uncertainty regarding the release of multiplatform titles.
Despite earlier speculation, Xbox has confirmed that previously announced multiplatform games will still be released as planned. The latest information from the Forza Horizon 6 website reassures players that the PS5 version is on track for a year-end release, providing an established audience for the game on that console.
