A govt spokesperson said that the elderly man broke down before the CM while showing him his injuries. “Peace, prosperity and strong law and order are the identity of a new Uttar Pradesh , and those who obstruct these should be taught a lesson through legal means,” the CM said. The CM said if any influential person has usurped the land of a poor person, strict legal action should be taken against him while the land must be freed from illegal control.
Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to take ‘the strictest possible action’ against the accused in a case where they beat up a man in Rae Bareli and snatched his money. The man claimed that some people had attacked him without provocation, possibly thinking that the elderly man was an outsider. They beat him up and snatched his money, he claimed. The CM has directed officials to initiate immediate action in the matter. Some other people complained of encroachment on their land. He also emphasised quick resolution of revenue-related matters.
The case came to light during Janata Darshan on Monday where the victim approached the CM for help.
