Kolkata: Investigations into two consecutive attacks on Beleghata MLA Kunal Ghosh gathered momentum with police visiting the legislator’s Beleghata home late on Monday night to record his formal statement on the Uttarpara attack, while a separate probe into an alleged ambush in his own constituency made significant progress. Officers from the Uttarpara PS arrived and spoke to Ghosh at length at his Garpar Road home in Narkeldanga on Monday night and recorded his statements regarding the initial assault that took place over the weekend. The incident took place on Saturday when Ghosh was on his way to attend a rally led by Mamata Trinamool Congress chief and former CM Mamata Banerjee .
