Hyderabad: The state cabinet meeting on Thursday is expected to give approval for two Dearness Allowances (DAs) for govt employees, with one or both of the DAs to be given by Dasara festival next month.
Chief minister A Revanth Reddy and his cabinet colleagues are also likely to discuss in the cabinet meeting, to be held on Thursday, the issues related to irrigation and drinking water, release of water from Narayanpur reservoir in Karnataka to Jurala project in Telangana, water levels in reservoirs, revenue matters including Section 22-A and ULC category of lands, repairs being carried out to Medigadda, Annaram and Sundilla barrages of the Kaleshwaram project, proposed barrage to be constructed at over 152 metres at Tummidihatti on Pranahita river, among other issues.
The cabinet meeting will discuss all these issues and take a decision on important ones, sources said. The govt employees had called off their proposed strike and other agitational programmes against the state govt after deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka along with chief secretary Sanjay Jaju promised them two DAs before Dasara festival next month.
