The event focused on contemporary and rapidly evolving areas of plastic surgery, with the central themes encompassing craniofacial surgery, cosmetic surgery, orthognathic surgery, and gender-reaffirmation surgery. The scientific sessions provided an opportunity for specialists and trainees to discuss recent advances, evolving surgical techniques and the expanding scope of reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery. The health minister who himself if a qualified modern medicine practitioner highlighted the increasing scope and expanding domain of plastic surgery and its contribution to modern healthcare.
