Pune: Parvati police have arrested a 22-year-old law student, a resident of Market Yard, after he charged at a sub-inspector on the premises of Parvati police station around 5 am on Wednesday. The court subsequently released him on bail.
Rajendra Sahane, senior inspector of Parvati police, said, “The student was pursuing a second-year LLB course at a prominent city-based college. Later, he entered the station premises and started asking questions of the personnel on duty,” Sahane said, adding that his questions were random and that he was asking what the police personnel did at the station and why they were not working at night. He also obstructed him from executing his official duties,” he said.
He has been staying with his family in Market Yard area. “The student came to the police station area in an inebriated condition and was found shouting. “The personnel realised that he was drunk and asked him to leave the police station. However, this enraged him and he charged at Pravin Mane, a sub-inspector. Mane later lodged a complaint against the student, who was produced before a city court.
