Nagpur: A youth, earlier charged under the POCSO Act and other serious offences for alleged sexual assault on a minor girl, allegedly harassed her and threatened her family after being released on bail recently.
As per Jaripatka police, the 17-year-old girl had met the accused, Samyak Bagde (21), a resident of Mhada quarters on Nari Road, through social media.
Police said that after his release, Bagde allegedly called the girl and sent obscene messages. In the latest incident, Bagde arrived at the girl’s house, allegedly abused her and fled the spot, according to the police complaint. She subsequently went to his residence, where Bagde allegedly forced himself upon her. Bagde was arrested. He also allegedly threatened to kill members of her family. Jaripatka police have registered a case under provisions concerning obscene acts or words, stalking, criminal intimidation and related offences, along with the POCSO Act.
The earlier case was registered at Kapilnagar police station under provisions relating to sexual offences and POCSO Act.
