Kanpur: A 35-year-old clinic operator died by suicide at his home in Rajiyana mohalla under Rawatpur police station in Kanpur on Thursday afternoon, police said.
Shoaib (35) went to a room on the third floor around 2 pm and locked the door.
His brothers said that he had not attended the clinic for the past one or two days and occasionally consumed alcohol. On getting no response, his family informed the police. The police broke open the door and found his body hanging from the ceiling. A forensic team examined the scene and collected evidence. Shoaib used to run a clinic with his father, Mohammad Jameel, in a shop below their house.
Rawatpur station in-charge Kamlesh Rai confirmed that the body had been sent for post-mortem.
