Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski’s FOX broadcast appearance during the Buffalo Bills’ Week 3 matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers brought back memories of one of the NFL’s biggest rivalries. During the Buffalo Plus podcast, Hyde explained why he did not enjoy seeing Brady and Gronkowski involved in the broadcast of the Bills’ Week 3 game on September 21, 2026. The Bills defeated the Chargers 24-16 after overcoming a 10-0 deficit. Josh Allen threw for 204 yards and rushed for two touchdowns, while James Cook added 154 rushing yards and a score.
And Gronk on the sideline talking to Josh before, like, not a fan of that,” Hyde said on the podcast. No one, I don’t wanna see you on TV talking, being at the Bills stadium and stuff,” Hyde said during the podcast. Former Bills safety Micah Hyde made his feelings clear about seeing the two former New England Patriots stars around Buffalo’s game. “Tom Brady calling Bills games, I’m not a fan of. “Get out of here. “You know, you hate the Bills. And the Bills hate you. Despite the attention around the FOX broadcast team, Buffalo finished the night with the final say.
Hyde also reacted to Gronkowski’s sideline interaction with Bills quarterback Josh Allen before the game and questioned why former Patriots players were covering a Buffalo matchup.
He spent seven seasons with Buffalo after joining the team in 2017 and became a key part of the defense alongside Jordan Poyer. During his Bills career, Hyde recorded 417 tackles and 16 interceptions. He earned two second-team All-Pro selections and one Pro Bowl appearance before retiring after the 2024 season.
Hyde’s relationship with the Patriots rivalry goes beyond Brady and Gronkowski’s statistics.
