Her talent and determination, he said, helped her overcome challenges, and he expressed confidence that she would perform well in Delhi. “It’s a great opportunity for me to represent Karnataka at the national level in Yuva Samsath, and I am excited to travel by flight,” Meghana said.
The daughter of daily-wage labourers Manjunath and Gangamma, Meghana has now earned a place on the national stage. She is the only student from the state selected for the programme. Her journey to the national event began at the district-level Youth Parliament, where students were asked to speak on significant political and historical topics. Meghana chose the Emergency imposed during former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi ’s tenure. In a three-minute speech, she presented the subject with clarity and confidence, impressing organisers with her preparation and composure.
She has been selected to represent Karnataka at the national-level Youth Parliament (Yuva Samsath), to be held in New Delhi on Friday.
