Bijnor : Two persons were arrested by UP Police in Bijnor for allegedly conspiring to usurp 2.2 hectares (about 26-bigha) of agricultural land belonging to former Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath by using a forged death certificate and fake will of his late father, Mahendra Nath.

Nath’s father owned around 90 bighas in Ami Khanpur village under Bijnor’s Najibabad tehsil.

It was subsequently allegedly discovered that the accused prepared a forged will purportedly in his late father’s name and produced the documents before court with intention of taking control of the property.

Notably, the case was registered under BNS 61 (2) (criminal conspiracy), 318 (4) (dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 338 (forgery of valuable security, a will…), 336 (3) (forgery committed for cheating) and 340 (2) (dishonestly using a forged document or electronic record as genuine). Dharmapal has two past cases against him at Bijnor in 2016, police said, adding that further investigation is underway to find the role of others in the latest case.
