Police have arrested truck driver and his assistant
During a detailed inspection, officers discovered 268 boxes of premium foreign liquor, vodka and whisky worth over Rs 10 lakh hidden beneath 50 bags of animal feed. Police have arrested truck driver Vijay Thange (42) and his assistant Isaq Nur Shaikh (36) of Dashmesh Nagar in Shrirampur, Ahilyanagar district. Police have also seized the container truck worth Rs 10 lakh and animal feed worth Rs 50,000.

During questioning, the duo told investigators that the liquor had been loaded by another person from Shrirampur and was being transported to a recipient in Chopda taluka in Jalgaon district. The action followed a tip-off received by LCB inspector Dnyaneshwar Ware.
