Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy announced that all central kitchens across the state will be inaugurated in one go on Dec 9. Instructing officials to complete works at all central kitchens by Nov 30, the CM said measures should be taken to facilitate visits by students to the central kitchens. All the kitchens will be linked to the command control centre for regular monitoring.
During the meeting, Junna Solar Systems and Chain Labs India signed an agreement with Hare Krishna Foundation, in the presence of CM, to support the breakfast scheme for govt school students.
Revanth suggested maintaining a record of students studying in govt schools, which he said will help ascertain the physical growth and academic progress of students on a regular basis. The CM enquired with officials about the breakfast menu and recommended preparing breakfast according to regional dietary habits. He said the breakfast scheme in schools was a long-term programme and that utmost care must be exercised.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM emphasised that quality food should be served to the students. The main objective of serving breakfast is to provide nutritious food and encourage students to attend school regularly and pursue their studies. He also suggested developing an app to calculate the calorie content of the food items served to students.
On Friday, representatives of Hare Krishna Foundation met the chief minister at his Jubilee Hills residence.
