The trust administration has been asked to compile baseline data on waste generation to properly size bins, collection vehicles, temporary storage and scientific disposal units.Saptashrungi Hills in Nashik’s Kalwan taluka is an important pilgrimage site in the district which draws devotees in large numbers. “A detailed plan is being prepared in coordination with major religious sites across the region, recognising that many devotees visiting the core Nashik-Trimbakeshwar area are also likely to visit Saptashrungi Gad. It was also discussed in the meeting that dedicated routes for emergency vehicles like fire tenders and ambulances, separate parking, shuttle facilities, and adequate drinking water across Vani, Nanduri, and the Gad area need to be determined for crowd safety. PWD has proposed nine infrastructure projects for the location and directed that they be prioritised. The meeting was attended by trust chairperson and joint charity commissioner Vivek Sonune and various govt departments, including Nashik zilla parishad and public works department.
