A bizarre moment during the Canada’s premier T10 cricket league semi-final between Toronto Sixers and Mississauga Masters left players, commentators and fans surprised. A delivery from USA pacer Ali Khan flew over the batter and wicketkeeper before landing in the stands, but Toronto were awarded only five runs instead of six. During the ninth over, Khan bowled a bouncer that went over Pollard and the wicketkeeper before clearing the boundary without touching the bat. The commentators initially thought it would be a wide and six. However, the umpire awarded five runs to Toronto. Under MCC laws, a six can only be given when the ball has been hit by the bat. Since the delivery was also a wide, the additional one-run wide penalty is added, making it five runs in total. Despite the unusual incident, Toronto Sixers went on to beat Mississauga Masters by nine runs and secure their place in the final. In the other semi-final, Vancouver Anchors defeated Brampton Blitz by six wickets. They will now face Toronto Sixers in the tournament final. Get the latest Sports News and Live updates.
