Hyderabad: The Telangana Rakshana Samithi (TRS) has demanded the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) to resolve the 11 core demands of the workers, giving a 60 day deadline to the management.
The demands including payment of 35% of Singareni’s profits directly to the workers as a share/bonus, ensuring all workers who applied to the medical board are declared unfit without unnecessary delays, conducting the medical board sessions twice every month consistently, dependent jobs, provide two guntas of land to every worker under the own-house scheme etc and resolve all pending service and identity issues related to workers listed under alias names. “We have given the management a strict 60-day window. If the legitimate demands of the Singareni workers are not fully resolved within these 60 days, I will sit right here at Singareni Bhavan and launch an indefinite hunger strike.”
The managment called her for the talks and assured to resolve the pending issues. TRS chief Kavitha along with workers held a dharna at Singareni Bhavan on Monday.
Addressing the sea of workers and party cadres during the protest, Kavitha launched a scathing attack on the management’s tactics, making it clear that coal workers will no longer tolerate bureaucratic evasion.
“We are protesting under the joint auspices of TRS and HMS to fight for the rightful solutions for the problems of 40,000 Singareni workers,” Kavitha said. ends/ You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Hyderabad | Silver Rate in Hyderabad | Bank Holidays in Hyderabad | Public Holidays in Hyderabad | Hyderabad AQI | Weather in Hyderabad | Petrol Price in Hyderabad | Diesel Price in Hyderabad | CNG Price in Hyderabad | LPG Price in Hyderabad Stay updated with the latest Hyderabad news.
