Bündchen has no lingering bitterness toward her former husband and remains thankful for the family and memories they built together, according to a source cited by People. A source told People that Bündchen once expected the marriage to last for the rest of her life. “She always thought she would be married to Tom for the rest of her life,” an insider told People Tuesday. The source also said the model remains thankful for the family they created. Bündchen previously said they had “grown apart,” while a later account in Lars Anderson’s book, “Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness,” offered additional claims about tensions between the couple. The book alleges that Bündchen wanted Brady to devote more attention to their family and that she eventually told him, “We’re not compatible.”
Gisele Bündchen appears to have reached a place of peace several years after her high-profile divorce from Tom Brady. The former couple’s split once drew intense attention, but the supermodel is now looking back on their marriage with less pain and more gratitude. Her perspective also comes as both stars have moved into very different chapters of their lives, with Bündchen rebuilding her family life and Brady continuing his career outside the NFL. “The divorce was very upsetting, and she struggled to understand it at the time, but she’s not bitter. Their divorce followed years of speculation about pressure within the relationship.
