Prayagraj : A 17-year-old boy from the Kohna area was found murdered near Havelia nullah under Jhunsi police station limits on Tuesday morning, police said.
In a separate incident, the body of a 32-year-old man, identified as Virendra, a resident of Manjhanpur in Kaushambi district, was recovered from Sasur Khaderi river late Monday night. Stay updated with the latest Prayagraj news.
DCP (City) Sagar Jain told TOI that the boy had injury marks on his head, indicating that he may have been killed. Police said Virendra had gone fishing and allegedly slipped into the river. His scooty was found parked near the spot where his body was recovered. Police are scanning CCTV footage from the area and investigating all possible angles. His body has been sent for post-mortem. The deceased, identified as Ishantanu Dubey, had left his house on Monday night after receiving a phone call.
