Hyderabad: With the one-way traffic policy around KBR Park creating logistical challenges for water tankers, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board, MD K Ashok Reddy has directed officials to redesign the tanker-filling network in the area, identify new filling points and strengthen pumping capacity to ensure faster water delivery to residents. He also instructed officials to examine the possibility of increasing pumping capacity at locations where required, thereby reducing the time taken to fill tankers and improving turnaround. The move is aimed at ensuring that the city’s tanker network can operate more efficiently without adding to traffic pressure around KBR Park. At the Banjara Hills reservoir, the MD reviewed plans to improve tanker operations and directed officials to relocate existing filling points to suitable locations without obstructing vehicle movement inside the premises. A dedicated filling point for large-capacity tankers has also been proposed to speed up filling and prevent congestion within the reservoir premises. Download the TOI App.
