Mangaluru: The coastal city is set for a high-octane motorsport spectacle with the Bharat Petroleum Autocross 2026 scheduled at Goldfinch City, Kulur, on Oct 11. Addressing a press meet on Wednesday, Mangalore Motor Sports Association (MMSA) president Sudhir TK said around 120 participants from Bengaluru, Mysuru, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, Moodubidire and Kerala would take part in the regional-level event. Competitors will battle it out across 13 categories based on vehicle specifications and driving skill levels. The competition will be held on an approximately 1.1km track featuring multiple twists and turns, testing drivers on speed, precision and vehicle handling.
The organisers said special trophies will be presented during the valedictory, including awards for the Fastest Driver (Men), Fastest Driver (Women) and Best Tuner. A special vehicle display will be held from 9am.
