At Rs 1,29,999 in India, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ sits firmly in Samsung’s premium tablet lineup, aimed at users who want a large-screen device for work, entertainment, note-taking and creative tasks. After bringing back an 11-inch model with the Galaxy Tab S11 series, Samsung has moved back to a 12.6-inch Plus model with the Tab S12+. The bigger screen gives it more room to work with, while the tablet remains noticeably smaller and lighter than the 14.6-inch Ultra.
The Tab S12+ also marks an interesting change in Samsung’s tablet lineup.
The tablet gets a brighter display, a newer MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, an S Pen in the box and support for Samsung’s laptop-like DeX experience. The first thing that stands out about the Galaxy Tab S12+ is its 12.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. It supports a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and Samsung says the panel can reach up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness. During our initial time with the tablet, the display looked bright and sharp, while the larger 12.6-inch panel gives the S12+ plenty of space for watching videos, browsing and working with multiple apps.
We got some time with the Galaxy Tab S12+ and our initial experience suggests that Samsung has focused on refining the formula rather than completely changing it.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ measures 5.3mm in thickness and weighs 553 grams, making it considerably easier to handle than the larger Ultra model. The 12.6-inch AMOLED display, slim design, S Pen support and flagship processor make a strong first impression. But at Rs 1,29,999, the final verdict will depend on how well these features come together in everyday use, particularly battery life, performance under sustained workloads and whether the tablet can genuinely replace a laptop for some users.
The design is also quite slim. Samsung has also given the tablet an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, which is useful for a device in this price range. For now, the Galaxy Tab S12+ looks like a premium tablet that builds on what Samsung already does well.
