Kochi : State women’s commission chairperson P Satheedevi has said that all necessary assistance will be ensured for the survivor in the Edappally sexual assault case. She was speaking after visiting the woman at Kalamassery Govt Medical College hospital.

The chairperson also said that she has asked Kalamassery Police to provide the details of the investigation. The commission has registered a suo motu case over the incident. It will take urgent measures to provide her with necessary legal aid, psychological support and assistance through the high court’s victim rights centre. Download the TOI App.
The doctors said that proper medical examination as per protocol and other necessary assistance have been provided to her. Information was collected from the survivor and the doctors treating her at the hospital.
