BJP national president Nitin Nabin unveiled the trophy in the presence of BJP state chief

Varanasi: The ‘Seva Sankalp Trophy’ for the T-20 National Divyang Cricket Tournament in Varanasi was unveiled on Thursday, as part of the Seva Sankalp Month being organised by the BJP to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi ’s 25 years in public office and governance. BJP national president Nitin Nabin unveiled the trophy in the presence of BJP state chief Pankaj Chaudhary .

Organising committee president Siddharth Singh said the national tournament in Varanasi aims to boost the morale of differently-abled players, instil new hope and confidence in them, and convey the message of an inclusive India through sports. He said differently-abled cricket teams from various states would participate in the tournament. Ojha said differently-abled cricket teams from various states would take part in the national competition.

The gathering of national-level players in Varanasi, he added, would also convey a new message through the event. All India Divyang Cricket Association president Dr Uttam Ojha briefed Nabin on the tournament’s overall plan and preparations. The tournament will provide players with a strong platform to showcase their cricketing talent and gain recognition at the national level. He also shared details of the preparations, team participation and objectives of the tournament.

The tournament will begin on Friday, with organisers yet to announce the full schedule.
