They are Daksha, a traffic assistant robot, Thara Gen 1, a citizen assistant robot and Daksha Guardian, which can be deployed in emergency response. “We have formally signed the MoU. He added that there are no confirmed numbers yet for the police deployment.

Discussion and ideation part of the project are complete. Currently some of the technology is military grade, and it would be customized and scaled down for the purposes of the state police. The opening ceremony witnessed a display of three humanoid robots which will be attached to the state police as per the MoU. Apart from the trio, Kavach, a UGV, will also be deployed for the police after appropriate trials and customisation.

State police on Friday signed an MoU with a Kochi-based firm to develop robotic technology for the police.
