Agra : Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) has extended its support to the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest scheduled to be held at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Saturday, Oct 10, with the organisation’s national spokesperson Rakesh Tikait appealing to farmers and supporters to participate in the demonstration or hold parallel protests at their respective district headquarters. “Those unable to reach the national capital should organise demonstrations at their district headquarters and submit memorandums addressed to the President through the district administration,” he said. Announcing BKU’s support, Tikait said the organisation had decided to back the protest being organised by CJP, other organisations and political parties. In a video shared on social media while travelling from Muzaffarnagar to Pune by train, Tikait urged the youth and other supporters willing to travel to Delhi to join the protest. He appealed to people across the country to become part of the movement and extend their support to the demonstration. Download the TOI App.

He said that he, too, would participate in the agitation from a district headquarters wherever he was on Saturday. Tikait said he was scheduled to be in Pune on Friday night to attend a protest organised by the youth of the city.
