Breiden Fehoko sends Jerry Jones a blunt Mike Tomlin message after Dak Prescott and Cowboys fall to Buccaneers

Former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko wants Jerry Jones to make a major coaching change after the Dallas Cowboys lost 24-16 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday, October 8. The defeat left Dallas at 2-3, raising fresh questions about its coaching and defensive problems. Fehoko shared his thoughts on X after watching Dallas struggle against a Tampa Bay team that had lost its first four games.

Fehoko believes Mike Tomlin should take over from Brian Schottenheimer, arguing that Dak Prescott is not getting enough help from his teammates. The Buccaneers were also without starting quarterback Baker Mayfield, who was sidelined by an injury. Undrafted rookie Jalon Daniels started in his place, yet Tampa Bay still found ways to attack the Cowboys and control the game.

Prescott finished the game with 316 passing yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He also led a 99-yard scoring drive in the fourth quarter, giving Dallas a chance to fight back. However, the comeback fell short when a late pass intended for tight end Jake Ferguson was tipped and intercepted by linebacker Alex Anzalone near the Tampa Bay 12-yard line. His absence put more pressure on George Pickens, who finished with nine receptions for 130 yards and a touchdown.

Both interceptions involved passes that went through receivers’ hands, according to the Dallas Cowboys’ official game recap. He later described the loss as “extraordinarily disappointing.” Fehoko used those plays to argue that Prescott was not the main reason for the defeat. Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb also left the game with a quadriceps injury after making just two catches for nine yards. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was asked about possible coaching changes after the defeat. Speaking to NFL Network reporter Jane Slater, Jones called the idea of making a change “premature.
