Pune inner ring road land survey to begin in six villages from Oct 12

The proposed inner ring road will span a width of 65 metres, flanked by nine-metre service roads on either side

In Mulshi, surveys are scheduled for Hinjawadi on Oct 12, Jambe on Oct 13, Marunji on Oct 15, and Nande on Oct 17.

Poonam Mehta, joint commissioner of Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority’s (PMRDA) land and property department, said the authority is executing the acquisition through continuous dialogue, complete transparency, and by prioritising the welfare of the affected farmers. Meanwhile, discussions are currently underway with the residents of Nere and Maan to address specific local grievances and demands. During a recent town hall meeting in Kolwadi, local farmers agreed to the survey after officials detailed the acquisition protocol, land valuation techniques, and compensation structures. Deputy collector (land acquisition) Vitthal Udmale listened to their concerns and assured the community that the administration would ensure no affected farmer faces injustice. Concurrently, at a separate meeting held in Dhamane village within Maval taluka, residents submitted their suggestions and demands, which officials stated would be taken into consideration. She expressed confidence that the completed project will significantly ease chronic traffic congestion across both Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad.
