Nagpur: The Nagpur division has 2,55,823 registered voters for the upcoming graduate constituency election, an increase of 49,369 from 2020. However, the electorate remains 31,799 below its 2014 level, when 2,87,622 voters were registered, according to the final electoral roll.
The increase reverses part of the decline recorded in 2020, when the electorate fell to 2,06,454. Nagpur district accounts for the largest share of the current electorate, with 1,44,624 voters, followed by Chandrapur with 32,262 and Gondia with 22,187. Polling for the Nagpur graduate constituency is scheduled for Oct 23 as part of the biennial elections to Maharashtra’s Legislative Council graduate and teachers’ constituencies announced by Election Commission of India . Men account for 57.70% of the electorate, with 1,47,614 registered voters. Women number 1,08,183, or 42.28%, while 26 third-gender voters are on the roll. The proportion of women voters has risen from 39.24% in 2020 to 42.28% in 2026. Their numbers increased from 81,024 to 1,08,183 over the same period. Nagpur district has 76,873 male and 67,726 female voters. Wardha has 13,163 male and 8,578 female voters; Bhandara, 13,364 male and 8,013 female voters; Chandrapur, 20,960 male and 11,302 female voters; Gondia, 13,978 male and 8,209 female voters; and Gadchiroli, 9,276 male and 4,355 female voters. The final roll shows that the electorate has grown substantially since 2020 but remains below its 2014 size.
