In a video posted by news agency IANS, Anita Dipke said, “I feel very bad. Ambedkarite people will teach them a lesson and show them the consequences of their actions,” Anita Dipke said. Before the detention, police personnel told the CJP leaders that they did not have permission to hold the protest at Jantar Mantar, according to the party.

This is something that not even Indira Gandhi had done. Dipke accused the police of treating the leaders as criminals. In a statement, the CJP condemned what it described as the unlawful detention of its leaders, alleging that the action was part of a pre-planned move to prevent them from reaching the protest site. The party termed the detentions a violation of freedom of movement and demanded their immediate and unconditional release.
