Haridwar ASI held for taking Rs 10k bribe to settle dispute
Dehradun : A woman assistant sub-inspector (ASI) posted at Ranipur police station in Haridwar district was arrested by the vigilance department on Saturday for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 to settle a monetary dispute.
Its Dehradun unit verified the complaint before laying the trap, according to a statement issued by the vigilance department. The accused, identified as Soniya , was caught during a vigilance trap laid following a complaint from a man who alleged that she had demanded the money to resolve a dispute between him and another person. Vigilance personnel apprehended Soniya soon after she allegedly accepted the money from the complainant.
