BJP leader and MLC CT Ravi on Thursday accused Karnataka’s Congress govt of failing

The emergence of CCTV footage has added a fresh dimension to the case

Because of the Shakti scheme and increases in various fees, speaking to reporters in Hubballi, Ravi cited an alleged three-month delay in payments under the Gruha Lakshmi scheme, financial hardship faced by KSRTC.

He said higher charges for birth and death certificates, RTC and stamp paper, along with increased electricity bills and taxes on petrol and diesel, had added to the financial burden on the public. Ravi alleged that govt had not explained where pending Gruha Lakshmi funds had gone. He also claimed KSRTC employees’ provident fund money had been used to buy diesel. Referring to a sting operation case, Ravi alleged that its masterminds and actors belonged to Congress and that informants were being arrested to conceal the truth. He raised doubts about whether the video was being used to create a false impression about former chief minister Siddaramaiah and demanded a thorough investigation.
