Lucknow: Festivals such as Dussehra inspire people to overcome negativity and embrace goodness in their lives, deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak said while inaugurating Adani Times Garba Utsav 2026 at the Ekana Football Stadium in the city on Friday.
Referring to the tradition of burning Ravan’s effigy on Dussehra, Pathak said it symbolises the victory of good over evil. Praising the event, he said it offers an opportunity to people to celebrate their traditions together while connecting the younger generation with India’s cultural heritage. Congratulating TOI and the organising group, he said the event gives people an opportunity to experience Garba and other festive activities under one roof. He said visitors could worship Goddess Durga, participate in Garba and explore the various stalls at the venue.
He invoked the blessings of Lord Ram and expressed hope that UP would continue on the path of progress.
