Agra : A woman in her 20s was found dead in a forest near Etmadpur in Agra district, with police suspecting she was killed elsewhere and her body was dumped at the site.
A passer-by discovered the body in the bushes near Jharna drain around 6.45pm on Monday and alerted police. There were no bloodstains at the site, which is about 100 m off National Highway 19. Police said the woman had a deep wound that may have been caused “after she was struck with a heavy object. DCP Agra (West) Aditya said the body was sent for post-mortem. “Efforts are underway to establish the identity of the deceased and investigate other relevant facts related to the crime,” Aditya said.
