Muzaffarnagar : An FIR has been registered against All India Imam Association president Maulana Sajid Rashidi in Muzaffarnagar over an alleged video in which he has been accused of making “objectionable remarks about kanwariyas”. The complainant claimed that in the video, Rashidi used “abusive and provocative language while referring to kanwariyas travelling on foot from Haridwar and other pilgrimage sites”. SSP Muzaffarnagar, Sanjay Kumar Verma, said, “A case has been registered.

It names Rashidi as the accused. The complaint alleges that a video purportedly featuring Rashidi was being widely circulated on social media platforms.
