Ahmedabad: The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) has announced the second-round seat allotment for postgraduate dental (MDS) admissions for the 2026-27 academic year. The choice-filling process for this round was conducted between Sept 19 and Sept 24.
A total of 384 candidates figured in the merit list, of whom 310 consented to participate in the second round. These comprised 87 seats under govt quota, 12 under the management quota, and two under the NRI quota. 260 seats were allotted in the second round, according to the allotment data. The allotments included 54 fresh admissions and 47 candidates who secured transfers to another seat or college, while 28 admissions remained unchanged. Even after the allotment process, 131 seats remained vacant. Online payment of tuition fees can be made from Sept 24 to Sept 29 until 3.30pm. Fees can also be deposited at designated Axis Bank branches from Sept 25 to Sept 29 until 3.30pm.
The counselling round was conducted for 101 vacant seats generated after the first round, including seats left vacant due to non-reporting and cancelled admissions. Candidates allotted seats must now complete fee payment and reporting formalities within the prescribed schedule.
Reporting at designated help centres will be conducted from Sept 25 at 10am to Sept 29 at 4pm.
