Ahmedabad: A 23-year-old man was killed and his friend injured after a truck allegedly travelling on the wrong side knocked them off their motorcycle near Anjali flyover on Tuesday morning. In a separate accident on SG Highway early Tuesday, a 20-year-old man escaped unhurt after his car crashed into a metal diversion on Iskcon flyover around 3.30am. Police said Het Parikh was returning from Gandhinagar when he lost control of the car.
Milan Vaghela and his friend Kuldeep, who had left home around midnight on Monday, were returning home when the accident occurred around 4am, Milan’s father Dharamshi Vaghela, an autorickshaw driver, stated in his police complaint.
Fatal Accident Involving Motorbike and Truck
A tragic accident occurred when Milan, riding a motorbike with Kuldeep as a passenger, was struck by a truck on the wrong side of the road. The incident took place as they were descending a flyover towards Mahalaxmi Five Roads from Vasna. The collision caused the motorbike to crash into a nearby car, resulting in Milan being thrown beneath the truck. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Kuldeep sustained serious injuries and was transported to the Civil Hospital in Asarwa for treatment. Milan’s uncle notified the family about the unfortunate event.
