After arriving at Gandhigram railway station, he went to one of the running rooms on the first floor of Platform 1. When he woke up around 5.30am on Monday, he found the phone missing. The Rs 10,000 phone had two sim cards, one of which he used for official communication.
The employee told police that he kept his phone near his pillow and went off to sleep. Ahmedabad: A senior assistant loco pilot’s mobile phone was allegedly stolen from a running room at Gandhigram railway station while he was asleep. He searched the room and nearby areas but couldn’t find it, and then realised the device had been stolen. Railway police have registered a complaint of theft. Officers will examine CCTV footage to identify the suspect.
He discovered the theft after he woke up, and filed a police complaint on Tuesday. The railway employee had travelled from Botad to Gandhigram on Sunday evening for a departmental examination.
