Ahmedabad: Organisers of a garba last year have accused five event associates of acting in collusion and selling complimentary passes through online and offline channels without the knowledge of other partners, and making an illegal gain of Rs 8 crore to Rs 10 crore. The event manager-partner and his associates organised the garba after executing an agreement in Aug 2025, according to the complaint. It was agreed that 4,000 complimentary passes could be distributed daily to sponsors and acquaintances. They showed a total of 1,55,980 tickets, including 30,634 issued, 1,04,576 complimentary, 3,857 on-ground and 16,913 online.

They claimed to have permission from one of the partners. After the event, the complainant obtained details of the sales from the online platform.
