Ahmedabad : As many as 52 teams from Gujarat and six other states will compete in RoboFest 6.0, a 36-hour hackathon to be held at the Regional Science Centre (RSC), Bhavnagar, from Oct 6, the state department of science and technology (DST) announced on Monday. The participating teams were shortlisted from 480 entries.
Officials said the hackathon is also designed to strengthen indigenous robotics capabilities and help students develop autonomous, globally competitive solutions. The event, themed ‘AI-Powered Robotics Innovation Challenge’, aims to provide young innovators a platform to convert ideas into functional technology solutions using robotics, artificial intelligence, automation, electronics and other emerging technologies. Contestants represent nine districts of Gujarat as well as Maharashtra, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka and West Bengal. During the event, teams will develop, test, refine and demonstrate working technology solutions.
