The Ahmedabad crime branch has apprehended two brothers linked to the murder of a 25-year-old man. This incident occurred during a violent clash on Monday night in the Trikampura Char Rasta area of Vatva GIDC. The police are investigating the circumstances leading to the altercation that resulted in the fatality.
The accused have been identified as Ravi Solanki (31) and Haresh Solanki (35), an autorickshaw driver. Around 9.30pm, the three encountered Haresh and Ravi who were accompanied by two others identified as Akshay Solanki and Dharmesh Solanki. Police said Haresh has a previous murder case registered at Vatva GIDC police station. The arrests came after Vatva GIDC police registered a murder case following the death of Ajitsinh, who suffered severe injuries in the attack. Haresh and Akshay were allegedly armed with swords, while Ravi and Dharmesh were carrying metal pipes. The four allegedly attacked Ajitsinh, repeatedly striking him on the head and face. He had also allegedly escaped from Sabarmati Central Jail on three occasions. Download the TOI App.
Ajitsinh had gone to Trikampura Char-Maliya with his cousin Negi and their friend Arjun to discuss the recovery of a house that had been rented out earlier. The complaint was filed on Tuesday by the victim’s cousin, Hemantsinh Negi.
Tragic Outcome Following Intervention Attempt in Maninagar Incident
Ajitsinh, who was initially taken to L G Hospital, later succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital in Maninagar. The incident escalated when Negi and Arjun attempted to intervene, and they too were harmed during the altercation.
