A traffic cop took matters into his own hands by throwing a brick at a truck that was trying to enter a forbidden zone

AHMEDABAD: A traffic police constable is likely to face disciplinary action after he allegedly threw a brick at a truck while trying to stop it for entering a no-entry zone in Thakkarnagar, officials said. The truck driver has been booked for a traffic violation, police said. The incident occurred when the constable, attached to the I-Division Traffic Police, attempted to stop the truck after spotting it allegedly violating the no-entry restriction. To prevent the truck from fleeing, the constable reportedly picked up and threw a brick at the vehicle. The truck was subsequently stopped, and the driver was detained and taken to the police station. Meanwhile, the constable’s conduct has also come under scrutiny. I-Division Traffic Police PI S Sumara has written to senior officers seeking action against the constable. Senior officers are expected to examine the circumstances of the incident and decide on the nature of disciplinary action against the constable.
