For Kannada actor Rachana Inder , green is more than just a colour. It brings back memories of growing up in Coorg, surrounded by nature, and reminds her of the family and places that have shaped her. Even today, the sight of trees and greenery offers her a sense of calm, making the colour particularly meaningful during Navaratri.

But it is her connection to nature that makes the colour especially dear to her. “Having grown up in Coorg, I have always been close to nature, so it makes me sad when I see trees being cut down or buildings coming up without enough thought given to greenery. I wish people would consider having more plants and green spaces around them while constructing buildings.
