BENGALURU: The Karnataka CID questioned IAS officer Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar for the second consecutive day on Saturday as part of its probe into alleged irregularities in a Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) recruitment exam, police sources said.

Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar, a 2016-batch IAS officer, is currently posted as Director-MSME in the Karnataka Department of Industries and Commerce.

He had earlier held the post of Controller of Examinations at the KPSC and was replaced in March this year. Earlier on Friday, IAS officer Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar was questioned for nearly nine hours after the CID served him a notice asking him to appear before the agency, the sources said.

Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar’s questioning comes days after the Enforcement Directorate searched his premises in Bengaluru and Bareilly on August 23 as part of a money laundering investigation into alleged irregularities in a KPSC examination.
