What happened?
From September 4, traffic police will introduce vehicle restrictions on five major flyovers and elevated corridors across the city, in a move aimed at improving road safety and easing congestion. The changes will affect the BOS flyover, Peenya elevated corridor, Double-Decker flyover and International Airport flyover, while restrictions on the Electronic City elevated corridor will kick in from September 11. Light goods vehicles will not be allowed between 7 am and 11 am, and between 4 pm and 10 pm. Heavy and medium goods vehicles will be restricted between 7 am and 11 am, and 4 pm and 10 pm. All goods vehicles will face restrictions between 6 am and 10 pm. Electronic City elevated corridor: Goods vehicles will be banned between 6 am and 10 pm.
