Bengaluru: Students who appeared for state PGCET – MBA, MCA and MTech admissions – have petitioned Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), seeking the immediate release of choice-entry results and commencement of the second round of option entry. They fear that a second round of counselling will not be held.
A total of 23,164 seats were allotted: 11,462 seats for MBA, 8,093 for MCA and 3,609 for MTech. As many as 9,574 seats in MCA, 2,195 in MBA and 1,821 in MTech remain unallotted. We paid Rs 700 for exam and Rs 750 for counseling process.
The final results of the first-round seat allotment for admission to MBA, MCA, ME and MTech/MArch courses were announced five days ago.
In an online petition addressed to KEA executive director, the students said the delay had left a large number of candidates uncertain about their college admissions and academic plans. If they had told us there will be no further rounds, we would have entered the option entry accordingly. Now, we are left in the lurch,” said a student. KEA officials are not even responding to us properly,” said another student.
“We fear that there will be no further rounds. “We are not asking for an additional round. Our request is to provide us what was promised at the beginning of the counseling process.
